About Us

Shelf Indulgence began with a love for romance and a longing for something that didn’t yet exist in our city- a bookstore where stories of love, passion, and joy weren’t tucked away on a back shelf, but celebrated front and center.

As a lifelong reader and book lover, I dreamed of creating a space that felt like stepping into your favorite story: warm, inclusive, and full of heart. A place where the romance genr, so often dismissed despite its emotional depth and cultural impact, could take up space unapologetically.

But more than that, I wanted to build a community.
